Kazakhstan launches platform for requesting access to the national supercomputer

53 viewing

The Ministry of Artificial Intelligence and Digital Development of Kazakhstan has introduced Alem.Cloud, a platform where organizations can submit requests to use the computing resources of the national supercomputer cluster. The system is included in the global TOP500 ranking and holds the 86th place, remaining the largest computing center in the region.

Who can access the resources

Alem.Cloud is available to legal entities, including government agencies, research and educational institutions, startups, private companies and Astana Hub residents. The Ministry has introduced rules for distributing capacity based on the strategic value of projects and their contribution to the development of artificial intelligence in the country.

Priority fields

The supercomputer can be used for projects in the following areas:

• public administration
• education and healthcare
• agriculture and water management
• oil and gas sector
• mining and energy industries
• geology and exploration
• transport and logistics
• industry and construction
• robotics and drones
• cybersecurity
• financial technologies

How to submit a request

To get access, users fill out an online application on the platform. They select the required resources (GPU, CPU, RAM, SSD storage), specify the rental period and describe the project. The platform includes a calculator that automatically estimates the cost and generates a configuration summary.

Each application must be signed with the digital signature (EDS) of the legal entity.

Reliability and infrastructure performance

The national supercomputer operates around the clock and maintains high stability. Data is protected by backup systems, and SLA compliance ensures predictable and uninterrupted service. This allows companies and organizations to safely plan and execute large computational projects.
